We create damn fine learning materials for our commercial and charitable clients.

In 2001, Frank & Lively first opened its doors as a full-service advertising agency. Over that first decade or so, we partnered with some of the world’s largest agencies and developed creative solutions for well-known global brands including Sony, Disney and HSBC.

In 2015, we found our commercial niche. We began combining our advertising expertise and award-winning filmmaking talents to provide a boutique production service to adventurous learning departments.

Today, our corporate and charitable clients rely on us for fresh and unexpected new ideas that engage and educate. From concept to execution, we fully manage and deliver innovative solutions that build excitement around learning. As for our passion projects, our films have become part of both secondary and undergraduate school curriculum on subjects including climate change and gender equality.

With our 25 high profile awards and nominations earned for the stories we tell, our creative-first approach raises the bar on learning.

Our expertise

Bold learning design approach

We ask a lot of questions of your learning team and, if possible, your learner population, to delve deep into your learning needs. We then propose bespoke solutions that surprise and delight your learners. Our educational assets encourage learners to actively engage with, rather than passively receive, digital learning. We design solutions that allow this engagement to be measured and tracked.

Strong multimedia learner journeys

If you want to combine an educational podcast with an explainer animation, or a series of illustrated PDFs with an interactive video – we bring all the parts together with innovative brand guidelines, a coherent learner journey and a continuous narrative thread. We work with an extended network of passionate creatives who are each committed to their craft, brought together under a centralised vision.

Diversity by

We take diversity of representation seriously. We actively promote diversity in our team and are committed to promoting underrepresented voices. Within our assets, we go the distance to ensure representation across culture, disability, gender, class and race. Working with accessibility partners, the varying needs of your audience – from hearing impairment to colour blindness – are met.

learning outcomes

We partner with learning departments, both big and small, local and global. From a singular module reaching a small pool of CEOs, to a multi-faceted course targeting over 80,000, to an educational series reaching 17,000 classrooms, our learning assets are custom built. We use authoring software such as Evolve and Articulate, manipulate advanced media players such as Brightcove, and navigate complex LMS requirements.

We don’t consider ourselves to be advertisers (anymore). We are filmmakers, writers, artists and storytellers. These aren’t buzzwords for us; we’ve got the industry acclaim to prove it. This means that, unlike any other digital learning provider we’ve come across, the talent we draw on is truly creative, inspired and sets a high bar. We are committed to creating learning content that is red-carpet ready.

learning journey

Our learning solutions include in-depth research, inventive branding, educational podcasts, high end live action, engaging writing, impactful animation, immersive quizzes and games, digital role plays and virtual learning, and learning consultation. Over the past year alone, we’ve counted a global financial institution, a technology giant, and a leading pharmaceutical firm among our clientele.
