A spectacular 6 BIFA nominations for our feature film

Frank & Lively’s debut feature film has received 6 nominations at this year’s prestigious BIFAs (British Independent Film Awards). We are delighted that APOSTASY has achieved such wide recognition for both its high level of production and outstanding acting performances.

Frank & Lively Founder, Marcie MacLellan, has been nominated in the Breakthrough Producer category. With an extensive wealth of experience producing film and radio marketing projects, Marcie’s credits also include a diverse range of documentaries and a number of well-received short films.

Professionally, APOSTASY marks a natural progression for Marcie, and expands the creative reach of Frank & Lively in regard to future marketing and narrative-based projects. In addition to Marcie’s Breakthrough Producer nomination, APOSTASY has also been nominated in 5 additional categories. These are Best Supporting Actress and Most Promising Newcomer, for Molly Wright, The Douglas Hickox Award (Debut Director) and Debut Screenwriter, for Daniel Kokotajlo, and Best Casting, for Michelle Smith.

Founded 20 years ago, BIFA celebrates, supports and promotes British independent cinema and filmmaking talent in the UK. Awards are voted for by independent juries, made up out of leading professionals and talent from the British film industry. Known for hosting a magnificent event, the award ceremony in December promises to be a great night out.
