What a great way to end the year – with news that founder and producer, Marcie MacLellan, is Venice bound on her next film project. Working alongside writer/director Dan Smyth, she will be participating in a gruelling 10-day film development lab to continue work on the feature film, The Prefect. And she’ll be working with some talented filmmakers to boot. The Venice Film Festival’s new film lab initiative, Biennale College, received 433 submissions from 77 countries, each including a new project and a director and producer. They chose 15.
