The APOSTASY world premiere at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) was a fantastic success. Tipped as one-to-watch, APOSTASY has grabbed the attention of the industry media, being widely praised for its high quality of production and performance. Our sales agent, Cornerstone Films, signed an exciting UK distribution deal with Curzon Cinema’s distribution wing, Artificial Eye.
APOSTASY was watched by sell-out audiences. Included in those audiences were leading movie reviewers, such as Variety’s Guy Lodge (“exquisitely anguished, impeccably acted”) and The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw (“a supremely intelligent and gripping drama”).
Due to hit the cinema next summer, anticipation is building ahead of APOSTASY’s release. The deal with Curzon, a leader in UK independent cinema for over 40 years, ensures APOSTASY will enjoy the widest UK cinema release possible.
After Toronto, APOSTASY heads to the San Sebastian Film Festival to be screened in the New Directors Competition. Then on to the BFI London Film Festival, where it will receive its UK premiere in the First Feature Competition.
